We have never been shy about our close relationship with the fine folks at Crop to Cup Coffee Importers – as a former employee at that company, Joel developed some lifelong relationships with a group of passionate people who have been instrumental in helping him develop as a professional, as well as providing some simply fantastic coffees to us and you, our faithful customers over the years. In fact, we have never served an African coffee that wasn’t first sourced and imported by Crop to Cup. Our trust in them is *that* strong.

It’s with that in mind that we present this Rwanda Kinini Village. Originally, Rwanda was not in the plans for this year’s menu, but our contact at Crop to Cup called us and said “you NEED to support this project!” Our interest was piqued and the rest is history.

Founded by Jacquie Turner in 2014 as a way to create employment for people still affected by the Rwandan genocide, they exported their first lot in 2018. The group is 85% women, a legacy of war, and the project works hand in hand with Jacquie’s experience as a school builder. Education and commerce are working together to change the future of Rwanda – but don’t think of this cup as a social project – this is some serious specialty coffee! Clean, bright, round, sweet – a complete cup that pleases all palates.
