We present to you our third ABS (Aida Batlle Selection) coffee of the year, this time from Aida’s native El Salvador. You may recall hearing her name before– She is a renown coffee producer, a Cup of Excellence winner who’s coffees are routinely purchased by some of the industry’s heaviest hitters. Your favorite roaster from Portland or San Francisco has probably served her coffee before. We are proud to do it as well!

This particular coffee comes not far from where Aida grew up before relocating to the USA to avoid the Salvadorean Civil War of the 1980s. A fifth-generation coffee producer, she returned to El Salvador in the early 2000s primed to save the family land from record-low coffee prices. With her meticulousness and intuition, her coffee began to fetch higher prices and international attention. This, combined with her farming methods proving resistant to the disease that was ravaging the rest of Central America’s coffee crops, cemented Aida as a bonafide expert. Her name can be trusted.

This coffee, from her friend Arturo Meza Hill (of the legendary J. Hill coffee family) is everything you love about Central America, with a clean, big and balanced fruity flavor on top. For you natural lovers, this might be one of the best of the year. Grab some and serve it as espresso or iced to blow your customers away!

All coffee is roasted to order every Monday and shipped the following day through USPS priority mail unless otherwise specified.
